This weekend there's a big eSports event taking place in Japan featuring several different games, not just fighting games.

Players set to participate include BST|Daigo, Rohto|Tokido, Victrix|Momochi, BST|Fuudo, Liquid|Nemo, SNB|Fujimura, FAV|Sako, DNG|Nauman, RB|Bonchan, GyoGun|Mago, GyoGun|Machabo, RB|Gachikun, GyoGun|Moke, DNG|Itabashi Zangief, CO|Dogura, AZ|Kichipa-mu, FAV|Ryuusei, Liquid|John Takeuchi, IXA|StormKubo, GyoGun|Mizuha, WE-R1|Trashbox, GRPT|MOV, GRPT|Pugera, SNB|Higuchi, AXIZ|Shuto, SNB|Johnny, Kawano, Crusher, YOG|Jyobin, AMG|Yuusama and Kudou.

As you can see, many of Japan's absolute best players are part of this event and will be competing. The tournament started off as a single-elimination event, but the finalists of each block advanced based on their performance to a winner's side and a loser's side, making it a double elimination event starting in top 8.

This tournament is being played online as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic which is still ongoing worldwide.

While a prize sum for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition hasn't been disclosed, the total prize sum for all games (which also includes Pro Evolution Soccer 2021, Clash Royale and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) sits at a whopping 5 million yen ($47,452.25).

Streaming is being done at the JESU YouTube channel.
