PlayStation 5 releasing November 12 in some areas and a week later for the rest of the world, pricing information revealed

It's been revealed that the PlayStation 5 will be releasing on November 12 for the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.

All other areas will get access to the PlayStation 5 on November 19, a week later.

Pricing information for the PlayStation 5 was also revealed. The standard edition of the PlayStation 5 will cost $499.99 at launch.

This standard PlayStation 5 comes with a disc drive that will allow players to play games from a physical copy. These will be 4K Blu-ray discs.

Alternatively, you can get the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition for a cheaper price. The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will cost $399.99, a total of $100 cheaper than the PlayStation 5 Standard Edition.

According to Geoff Keighley, it will be possible to pre-order PlayStation 5 consoles starting tomorrow from select retailers.

Going into the new gaming generation, it seems there's a rumor that the price for games will rise from $59.99 to $69.99. Demon's Souls, Destruction All Stars, and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, three games that will be available for the PlayStation 5 at launch, are listed at $69.99.

As far as accessories are concerned, the DualSense Wireless Controller costs $69.99, the PULSE 3D wireless headset costs $99.99, the HD Camera is listed at $59.99, the Media Remote is priced at $29.99, and the DualSense Charging Station costs $29.99.

Last week, it was revealed by Microsoft, Sony's competitor, that the Xbox Series X will cost $499 while the Xbox Series S will cost $299. Microsoft's new console will release on November 10 with pre-orders starting on September 22.
