BST|Daigo took on Kawano in The Craze For CAMELOT Dream Exhibition over the weekend and as a result brought viewers a stellar highlight that is a must see for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition fans. The match up was Daigo's Guile vs. Kawano's Kolin, and Daigo managed to land a gnarly whiff punish using Critical Art that even left his opponent in shock.

HiFight put together another Just Frame Analysis video that takes a play-by-play look at the major moment. We see what all took place leading up to the punish, and of course, the punish itself.

To start out the final round of the first game, Daigo begins with heavy Sonic Boom pressure. Kawano tries to close the gap by walking forward and blocking, until Daigo fakes a Boom and baits his opponent to jump in onto an anti-air.

The story of the round remains the same, Sonic Boom pressure, until Kawano tosses out a double jump to sail over the projectile and throw off Daigo's timing. Daigo is ready, however, as he dashes forward under the double jump, then jumps up to meet Kolin in the air for an air throw.

Kawano uses EX Vanity Step to move through Sonic Boom and get in close to Daigo, quickly nailing him with an EX counter right after and starting some pressure of his own. After this interaction is where we see the set up for the whiff punish.

Daigo hangs back and fakes several Sonic Booms using standing medium punch, attempting to force Kawano into doing something reckless. Kawano uses this opportunity to walk in and throw a few normals for pressure, and when the Kolin player tosses out a standing heavy punch, Daigo moves just out of range of it, buffers the Critical Art motion, and fires into it for a big punish and the KO.

Naturally, the commentators erupt with excitement as the super lands. The camera pans over to Kawano who, even while wearing a mask, can be seen with a look of bewilderment on his face.
