Winners of Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition's Costume Design Contest officially revealed
A double dose of Juri coming our way
After receiving hundreds of submissions and tens of thousands in voting, Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition's Costume Design Contest for the fans came to a close at the start of this week. Now we know the official results.
Capcom has now revealed both of the winning selections of the costume campaign with JnXC and Gar's designs now being developed for the fighting game — both of which are for the same character, Juri.
This report likely doesn't come as a surprise to anyone who's been paying attention to the rankings considering they did take the number one and two slots from the fan votes though some had wondered if Capcom would really give them to the same fighter.
As many probably suspected, Steven 'JnXC' La confirmed the first-place Juri costume was meant to show the character taking trophies from her defeated "masters" with Seth's cloak and M. Bison's hat incorporated into the look.
Interestingly, Capcom re-iterated in its winning announcement that the company may alter or modify the designs in whole or part, so they may not look exactly the same by the time they make it into SF5 proper.
No release date has been set for when the new Juri digs will launch, but they will be dropping as part of the Winter 2020 update when Dan launches as the first character of Season 5.
The final rankings of the votes can be found here.
