Kunimitsu was announced for Tekken 7 late last month. In actuality, the Kunimitsu that will be appearing in Tekken 7 will be the daughter of the original Kunimitsu.

In a recent video upload, UYU|Fergus explained in detail what Kunimitsu will need in Tekken 7 to be a strong character. He did this by providing an analysis on Kunimitsu in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

It seems that banished ninja was quite weak in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Unfortunately, she relies on a lot of gimmicky setups that just aren't very effective against expereienced players.

Fergus notes that this character will need improvements to her low attacks to stand a chance in Tekken 7. Most of her lows in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 were either negative on hit or were too slow to serve as an effective mix up.

Kunimitsu also had an issue with her wall combo. Funnily enough, Kunmitisu was so negative after hitting this sequence that she could be punished by an opponent's wake up attack.

Unfortunately, all of this resulted in a character that was only really armed with "boring basics." As such, the ninja will need some new tricks to really help her stand out in Tekken 7.
