It's been almost a week since Minecraft Steve was released as a character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Players around the world have been working hard to determine this character's viability in the meta.

Liquid|Dabuz has recently crafted a matchup chart for Steve in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Notably, Dabuz has been registering for online tournaments and has been exclusively using Steve so that he may gauge the character's strengths and weaknesses.

If Dabuz's matchup chart is anything to go by, then it looks like Steve is really going to struggle in the tournament scene. It seems that Steve has more disadvantages than even or advantageous matchups.

Dabuz even declared that Steve's advantage and even match ups are optimistic. As such, Steve's matchups might end up being even worse over time.

"He's trash?" asked MVG|Dark Wizzy in response to Dabuz's post. Dabuz simply responded by saying "yeah." To another response, Dabuz stated that "this character just kind of sucks."

Do keep in mind that these are very early impressions and everything can change as the character's tech develops.
