BST|Daigo Umehara has been maining Guile in Street Fighter 5 since the second season. Although he initially used Ryu in the first season, the character's nerfs since then has caused Street Fighter's most iconic character to go from being a top tier to a bottom 10 challenger.

Every now and again, Daigo opts to play Ryu in a series of games for fun. As such, it always ends up being quite the treat for fans of Daigo's Ryu.

"10 win streak [with Ryu]? The fact that I get so excited by that shows how bad this character is," said Daigo after winning 10 games in a row.

Still, Daigo did note that Ryu was a little better than he remembered. "I feel like he's stronger than I thought," noted Daigo.

Of course, Daigo asserted that he was only using Ryu for fun. It seems that he still intends to stick with Guile for serious competitions. This isn't too surprisingly though.

In the end, Daigo ended up securing a 23 game win streak while using only Ryu. Funnily enough, Daigo attributes these victories to luck. More specifically, Daigo counted himself lucky that he was constantly running into characters that Ryu can compete against.
