After waiting and receiving rumors, leaks, hints and teases about what's coming to Mortal Kombat 11 following Aftermath's release, the community finally has its answers to bring more content to one of the biggest fighting games of the generation.

NetherRealm Studios revealed this morning that Rain, Mileena and John Rambo will be joining the roster of MK11 as the newest DLC additions in the Kombat Pack 2 following in the footsteps of Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop from earlier this year with a new Ultimate version of the game.

Kombat Pack 2 contains the two fighters who have been among the most requested since the game first launched, and while many previous hints pointed towards Rain's inclusion, Mileena remained largely up in the air until now.

John Rambo joins fellow '80s action stars brought into the world of Mortal Kombat with the Terminator and Robocop added as DLC in the previous two packs.

While there is no gameplay for the DLC characters shown within the trailer, there are some interesting aspects to take note of considering we see Rain fighting with a katar weapon similarly to Voldo from the Soul Calibur series.

Not as much can be discerned from Mileena's fighting style except that she still uses her iconic sais and will continue to bite the crap out of her enemies.

Rambo potentially has the most hints to his gameplay in the trailer considering we see him use a net trap and a machine gun while the Kombat Pack art depicts him using a bow and arrow.

Mileena first appeared all of the way back in Mortal Kombat 2 as a hybrid clone of Kitana and Tarkatan DNA created by Shang Tsung. She is sadistic in nature which comes across strongly in her gameplay that includes biting and eating opponents.

Rain made his debut a bit later in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as the purple palette swap ninja to join Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Smoke and Ermac. As his name suggests, he can control water to encase his enemies or transform himself into liquid to avoid attacks.

For those uninitiated, John Rambo as we know him now first showed up as the protagonist of the 1982 film First Blood where he's been portrayed by Sylvester Stallone.

The Rambo series continued for four sequels culminating in Rambo: Last Blood in 2019.

Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate will also be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as free upgrades to those who already purchased the game while also promising 4k dynamic resolution, improved graphics, reduced load times and cross play between current and next consoles on both sides.

Ultimate will release on November 17 with all three new characters and will also allow current gen owners to upgrade at the same time.

Mortal Kombat 11 owners can pre-order Kombat Pack 2 beginning October 15 for $15 USD while the full package containing the base game, Kombat Pack 1, Aftermath and KP2 will be available for $60.

The game's first Kombat Pack contained Shang Tsung, Sindel and Nightwolf as returning characters with additional guests in the aforementioned Terminator, Spawn and DC's Joker. Aftermath followed in May 2020 with Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop along with a brand new story mode expansion.
