New Japanese commercial uses Minecraft's Steve to advertise Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Steve, Alex, Enderman and Zombie from Minecraft were made into playable characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate last month. Being that Minecraft is the best-selling video game in the world, it'd certainly make sense for Nintendo to advertise their inclusion.

This is probably why Nintendo recently released a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate commercial that really highlighted how Steve is in the game. Of course, it's worth noting that the commercial is in Japanese.

The advertisement begins as four players are selecting their fighters on the character select screen. While Piranha Plant, Joker, Hero, Banjo-Kazooie, Terry Bogard, Byleth and Min Min are present, Steve is notably absent.

Mario, Olimar, Terry and Min Min are selected in the commercial. However, the match never starts as the power seemingly goes out.

Similar to how Steve came face-to-face with a panicked and confused Mario in the Steve reveal trailer, the Minecraft rep makes his appearance. The television is seemingly destroyed with this entrance.

From here, it feels like Steve is a focal talking point for the commercial. Check it out below:
