Here's Cloud805's UMvC3 Lives infinite combo happening from his perspective
Although the developers attempted to prevent infinite combos in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with their hitstun scaling mechanic, there are inevitably some infinite combos in the game. During Maximilian's UMvC3 Lives tournament stream, UYU|Cloud805 managed to win a match against KillerKai thanks to Dante's infinite.
What's interesting is that KillerKai didn't lose as a result of heaving all three of his health bars depleted. Instead, Cloud805 ran out the timer by keeping him in hitstun during the inifinte.
While the combo was initiated by Cloud805's Vergil against KillerKai's Taskmaster, Dante was switched in mid-combo with 33 seconds remaining on the clock. Ironically, KillerKai's healthy Taskmaster ended up being his undoing.
Before the timer hit zero, Cloud805 managed to perform a 173 hit combo against KillerKai's Taskmaster without killing him. If there was more time left, Cloud805 surely would've been able to keep the combo going for an even longer period of time.
Apparently, Cloud805 had a strategical reason for essentially "cheesing" KillerKai with this sequence. KillerKai still had his Vergil at full health, and Cloud805 simply didn't want to deal with the best character in the game under these circumstances.
Cloud805's infinite combo begins at 24:36. Throughout Cloud805's 36 minute video, he's also shown going up against KMFP, NerdJosh, AZAngelic and Dual_Kevin. Be advised that there is some language contained in the video.
