We're thankful for Tetsuharu's fighting game art

From Street Fighter to Sam Sho, King of Fighters to Guilty Gear, Darkstalkers to Soul Calibur, Japanese artist Tetsuharu can draw a mean fighting game character.

In perusing through Tetsu's Twitter we found a collection of wonderfully drawn images of the likes of the Karin Kanzuki, Lilith Aensland, Ivy Valentine, Terri Bogard, Iroha, and plenty of others.

There's a bit of a range here as we jump from Karin's confidence to Iroha's sensuality, Seth's focused intent to Ivy's judgemental stare. The artist shows an ability to capture various moods and atmospheres through little more than facial expressions and poses.

The one male of the bunch, Ryu, is spotted practicing something we don't often see him engage in: video games. This is a fun take on one of gaming's most iconic figures, but be sure to also appreciate the difference between the characters' face and the rest of the image.

Tetsu was clearly working in "sketch mode" for the majority of the picture, but spent time making Ryu's face especially detailed and vivid as the definition and lighting appear a good bit more refined than anywhere else in the image.

We've actually featured Tetsu here on EventHubs a few years back and you can see the previous galleries we've rounded up here as well as right here. Check out today's collection below and be sure to offer reactions in the comments.
