Klassic MK Movie Skin Pack revealed for Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate featuring likeness and voices of actors from the 1995 film
After just being teased on the next content coming to Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, we now have official confirmation on what's about to drop, and it's everything fans could have asked for.
NetherRealm Studios revealed the Klassic MK Movie Skin Pack for MK11 which contains 1995 film costumes for Raiden, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade while going the extra mile of including the actors' faces and voice work. Oh, and it's available now.
As many had hoped following the first teaser, the new set of costumes not only change their looks to that of the original movie, but also their faces and even voiceovers from the actors themselves.
Christopher Lambert is of course back again as "Protector of Earthrealm Raiden" while Linden Ashby shows up in his collared shirt and $500 shades with "Hollywood Kombatant Johnny Cage," and last but not least Bridgette Wilson-Sampras as "Island Bound Sonya Blade."
On top of all that, the trailer includes some nice nods to the movie itself, as Sonya takes on Kano and is shown performing a number of grappling moves on him like she used in the film adaptation.
This now technically makes four of the movie's actors who have come back to reprise their roles from over 25 years ago, as NRS previously brought back Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa famously for his portrayal of Shang Tsung, which was so good that he pretty much stole the show and some souls in MK11's Aftermath story mode.

Lambert himself also previously showed up to help promote Mortal Kombat 11's launch in a French commercial though it's indescribably cool to see him now digitally re-created as the thunder god and fighting in the video game itself.
With more characters in the game that were part of the film's cast, this also opens the door to perhaps a second movie skin pack in the future with Robin Shou's Liu Kang, Talisa Soto's Kitana and maybe even something like Scorpion's iconic look.
Trevor Goddard's Kano would have been amazing to see in the new game as well considering he essentially created the lore going forward that Kano was Australian, but unfortunately the actor tragically passed away in 2003.
Mortal Kombat 11 as a whole has a lot of Hollywood built into it already since they literally just added John Rambo with the launch of Ultimate last week as played by Sylvester Stallone after previously put in the Terminator, Spawn and Joker for Kombat Pack 1.
A brand new Mortal Kombat film is on the horizon now as well, so it'll be interesting to see if NetherRealm will give the same treatment to the new actors though the film currently has no release date after being delayed due to COVID-19.
The new skin pack should now be available to download across all platforms for $5.99 USD in total. You can check out the announcement trailer for the new costumes coming today below.
