Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 loads insanely fast on Xbox Series X; Maximilian transitions between Marvel Infinite, Killer Instinct, and other titles

Gotta go fast!

One of the fighting game community's favorite streamers, Maximilian, got his hands on a shiny new Xbox Series X for review purposes, and that means we're getting to see some fighting game action on the next generation console.

A recent stream sessions was devoted to exploring the Series X experience, and why not start with perhaps the most highlighted feature the console offers: it's insanely fast load times and processing power?

We begin with Max giving us a rundown of what to expect as he notes what he is and isn't allowed to show and reminds us of the new machine's powerful potential. Around the 8:45 mark, he navigates away from an old Xbox title and into Killer Instinct to show just how rapidly and seamlessly the Series X loads and transitions into and out of games.

As the fight loads up we observe almost no hesitation between screens as the system is seemingly ready to go at every turn. These are older, less weighty titles, of course, but remembering just how long we've spent on transition screens (Street Fighter 5 is a surprisingly recent example of some pretty heinous load times) we're very much ready for this kind of life.

Max dives into Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite just before the 13 minute mark, and gets into the action with lightening speed. He naturally goes from Infinite to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, then flashes back to Infinite in all of five or six seconds.

He continues on to even get into some vanilla Street Fighter 4 (after downloading it at about a rate of 100 mbps) and runs the classic title in training mode for a spell. You can see this all for yourself via the embed below:
