The forums for EventHubs will be shutting down

We're announcing the shutdown of the server for the EventHubs Forums. Some time in the near future, the EventHubs Forums will no longer be accessible due to reasons outside of our control.

First off, it's important to understand that this decision is in no way a reflection of how well EventHubs is performing. Although 2020 has been a crazy year, we're managing to do well because of the support of our readers. We have all of you to thank for that.

It goes without saying that there's a lot of history with the EventHubs Forums. To this day, over 6,700 users have created over 13,600 topics and more than 162,300 posts.

As time has gone on, the forums' traffic has really begun to dwindle to the point that it's difficult to justify keeping it afloat, especially with the recent technical hurdles being thrown our way. In general, internet forums tend to see less popularity than they used to 10 years ago.

But rest assured, you can still keep in touch with members of the community in the EventHubs Discord and our comment sections.

Our members that were already made aware of the big change have recently created an "end-of-life" topic to celebrate and reminisce about the forums' old days. In this topic, EventHubs president Jonathan 'Catalyst' Grey commented about what's going on.

Catalyst's message about the EventHubs Forums

The EventHubs forums were a very important place for us when we first launched the site.

They housed very creative people, terrific guides, and so much more. They provided a very nice safe haven for the FGC to avoid some of the more... rough areas of our community.

Unfortunately, due to some things out of our control, we have to shut these down because of some technical hurdles that came out of no where.

As the main site grew, forum traffic drifted away, but the forums were a key part in helping EventHubs grow into what it is today.

I'm definitely sorry to see the forums go, but for those who called this place a home, I know it will always have a spot in their hearts and minds.

A huge special shoutout goes out to zombiebrian for acting as the main administrator for the forums all these years. You can still find zombiebrian and other users at the EventHubs Discord.
