Update: Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is now available to download and play on consoles though PC players will need to wait a few hours longer to join the action. You can find out all you need to know about the big expansion for its launch day below.

The Aftermath update for Mortal Kombat 11 is releasing tomorrow, May 26. This marks the release of Sheeva, Fujin, and RoboCop as playable characters. In addition, Friendships and Stage Fatalities are returning.

Finally, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will add five "thicker" than average chapters to the game's story mode. We've already seen Shang Tsung trolling Baraka and the Tarkatan race in three minutes of story footage.

We've seen Friendships for RoboCop, Noob Saibot, Kano, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Cetrion, Spawn, Kotal Kahn, Kitana, and Kung Lao so far. Of course, every character in the game will have a Friendship added to their move listings.

The Dead Pool and Soul Chamber stages are making a return for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. Defeated opponents should expect a deadly acid bath upon losing on the Dead Pool stage with the addition of Stage Fatalities.

A decently sized balance patch will also be launching with the big update. Before spending meter for combo breakers, be advised that every fighter will now be armed with armor breaking attacks.

To obtain the Eternal Klash Skin Pack at launch, be sure to pre-order Aftermath while you still can. Those that do will gain access to the Unbound Rage Scorpion, Son of Arctika Sub-Zero, and the Kori Power Frost alternates.

The Aftermath story expansion by itself will be priced at $39.99 USD while the expansion plus Kombat Pack bundle will also be available for $49.99. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection will also be available including the base game for $59.99 on all platforms with a physical release coming to the Americas in June.
