We are very quickly approaching the fated hour of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath's release to the masses, and the people behind the game know just how to keep us all hype in the lead up.

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have released a new trailer for MK11 Aftermath this time focusing on the Shokan queen Sheeva herself with narration being provided by Johnny Cage.

Much like the Fujin trailer that came before, this latest video covers some of the lore surrounding Sheeva's backstory along with giving some glimpses of her gameplay and new story mode scenes.

There's not too much here that we haven't already seen from the story clips though we do get to see Kotal Kahn trying to take on Sheeva and failing pretty much instantly — similarly to the rest of his performance from the narrative.

Sheeva first appeared back in Mortal Kombat 3 as a member of the same Shokan race as Goro where she would eventually become queen in the current timeline following the demise of King Gorbak in the Mortal Kombat X comics.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is all set to release on May 26 including the new story mode, Stage Fatalities, Friendships, and three new playable characters in Sheeva, Fujin and RoboCop.
