RoboCop versus The Terminator is Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath's new showcase trailer featuring clever references to their previous crossovers

It's just like my old comics

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath drops in less than one week though we haven't gotten a chance to see what RoboCop looks like during a match outside of some quick trailer shots. That's no longer the case now.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios released two extended gameplay showcase videos pitting RoboCop and the Terminator against one another in over four minutes of new MK11 match footage.

The Round 1 video starts with RoboCop powering on ED-209 (which still has its roaring sound effect) before changing his attention to the machine coming through the time portal.

Alex Murphy asks the T-800 "haven't we done this before?" which the Terminator says he has no record of.

This is a fairly direct reference to the comic book series from Frank Miller and video game from the early 90's aptly called RoboCop Versus The Terminator that pitted the futuristic police officer against the forces of Skynet.

Diving into the gameplay, RoboCop looks to be a strong zoning character with pistols, missles, a sniper rifle and a flamethrower at his disposal though he's not afraid to get close and personal to dish out a strong 80's chop to the head.

The first video ends with the viewers getting to see RoboCop's complete Fatal Blow in action for the first time where he does the shooting and punching we've seen in previous trailers before knocking the T-800 back into ED-209 waiting in the back to blast and shoot the crap out of the android.

Murphy's explosive Fatality is then put on display before cuffing the beat up Terminator to take him in for questioning... despite him having just been blown to pieces.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is scheduled to release on May 26 featuring RoboCop, Sheeva and Fujin as the new playable fighters. You can take a look at both new trailers in action below, and since this is an MK trailer, it's of course full of NSFW violence.
