After a few months of mostly silence on the Mortal Kombat front, we finally know who and what is coming next to one of the best-selling games of 2019 going along with the teaser released a day ago.

NetherRealm Studios released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 this morning to announce the Aftermath Edition of the game set to roll out on May 26 with new story mode content followed by new characters including Fujin and Sheeva plus a new guest in RoboCop.

The new trailer picks up from the end of yesterday's teaser with Shang Tsung, a young Nightwolf and Fujin stepping out of a portal to stop Fire God Liu Kang's plan to recreate the series timeline.

We then cut to a gameplay reveal / tease for the Wind God Fujin and Sheeva who each get a good bit of screen time to shine after both had initially been data-mined in the game's files last year.

Aftermath will serve as a DLC expansion for Mortal Kombat 11 which includes a new cinematic story plus the three aforementioned fighters and three additional skin packs for players who purchase the add-on.

Stage Fatalities and Friendships are also making a return with Aftermath though they will be free for every MK11 player along with new stages on May 26 as well.

The Dead Pool stage appears to be making a return considering Scorpion gets hooked on a Stage Fatality there before taking an acid bath though they kinda make it up to him by giving him a giant teddy bear for a Friendship. Soul Chamber is back too.

Players who pre-order the new expansion will receive the Eternal Klash Skin Pack at launch which includes Unbound Rage Scorpion based off of his MK9 look, Son of Arctika Sub-Zero inspired by Deception and Kori Power Frost for a classic look.

Unlike previous Kombat Packs, all three new DLC characters appear to be releasing on the same day alongside the expansion meaning we'll likely be seeing gameplay breakdowns and more for Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop coming in the very near future to dig into their mechanics and more.

RoboCop will be voiced and feature the likeness of actor Peter Weller, who portrayed the character of Alex Murphy in the original 1987 film and its sequel.

The story picks up immediately at the end of MK11's original story with Shang Tsung revealing they cannot fix the timeline without Kronika's crown, so these unlikely allies must travel back to the past once again to obtain the item and hopefully change everything for good.

Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop will join the cast of the first Kombat Pack with Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, the Terminator, Sindel, the Joker and Spawn though none of the guest characters appear to show up in the story mode sections of the trailer.

The Aftermath expansion by itself will be priced at $39.99 USD while the expansion plus Kombat Pack bundle will also be available for $49.99. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection will also be available including the base game for $59.99 on all platforms with a physical release coming to the Americas in June.
