Maister releases his version 7.0 tier list for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In the early days of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's meta, Mr. Game & Watch was not exactly perceived as a strong character. Funnily enough, a certain player ranked Mr. Game & Watch as being the second worst in the game shortly after Piranha Plant was released.

Thanks to the hard work of SSGG|Maister, Mr. Game & Watch is now typically lumped together with the high tiers and top tiers in many player tier lists. But what does Maister's tier list look like?

Recently, he released a tier list that depicts his opinions. All fighters located in top tier and high tier are ordered while the rest are not.

According to Maister's rankings, Mr. Game & Watch is the 14th best fighter in the game right now. Although he's located in the top tier category, he gets outpaced by Zero Suit Samus, Pikachu, Palutena, Joker, Wario, Shulk, Peach, Snake, Mario, Pac-Man, Olimar, Lucina, and Wolf. Still, he ranks higher than Fox, Pokémon Trainer, and R.O.B.

Maister's high tiers include Roy, Pichu, Mega Man, Cloud, Ike, Chrom, Samus, Yoshi, Greninja, Inkling, Young Link, and 10 others. Like the top tiers, this category features challengers in a specific order.

The most recent addition to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, resides in the mid tier group. Combatants like Ryu, Ken, Banjo-Kazooie, Ridley, Incineroar, Robin, Hero, Zelda, Duck Hunt, and many others are also found in this unordered portion of the list.

Ganondorf, Bayonetta, King K. Rool, Dr. Mario, and Little Mac are the weakest in the game according to Maister. These characters are typically found at the bottom of other tier lists as well.

Please note that Sonic resides in the "Sonic Sux" tier because Maister didn't want to rate him due to a disdain for the character since Smash 4.
