Artificial input lag from training mode settings will reportedly carry over into other modes if not turned off in Granblue Fantasy: Versus

Granblue Fantasy: Versus' training mode provides a variety of options to help a player practice for different situations. It even comes equipped with the ability to add artificial lag to a player in order to help prepare for online interactions.

Unfortunately, it's been reported that there's a bug involving this feature that can carry over into other modes if it isn't turned off. This will be no doubt important for tournaments going forward until it's fixed in a future patch.

According to TA|Wauhti, setting input lag via the game's training mode can have influence on arcade, RPG, and even versus mode. If not caught early before a match, one player can potentially be forced to deal with a painful handicap.

Essentially, one competitor can be made to "play online" while the other will benefit from playing offline.

It's noted that the training mode settings can be set to affect player one or player two. There are individual settings in the training mode for this.

Again, if the dial isn't turned back to "0" for both players, then this feature will carry over into the game's other modes. This is impactful enough to cause major problems for tournaments if it isn't handled carefully.

It'll certainly be worth performing a button check before every tournament match just to make sure everything is kosher until this is (hopefully) addressed in a future patch.
