MrWiz, a tournament organizer for EVO Online 2020, has revealed the entrant numbers for the upcoming online event. Notably, there will three separate tournaments based on what region players are competing in.

Skullgirls ended up with the highest number of players overall as there are 1,249 registered to compete in North America. Notably, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, and Them's Fightin' Herds also managed to exceed 1,000 entrants each in just the North American region.

As for the European area, there are 235, 207, 205, and 149 set to compete at Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, Them's Fightin' Herds, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, and Killer Instinct respectively.

There is no Mortal Kombat 11 tournament for the Japan and South Korean region as it's not very popular there. 41 signed up for Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, 30 for Them's Fightin' Herds, and 29 for Killer Instinct.

The prizes for EVO Online 2020 have also been revealed. Top 8 competitors in each region for each event will receive an EVO Online medal. Champions will get an EVO Online trophy.

What's most interesting is word that the top 4 placers for every event will get an Astro Gaming prize pack and a "REALLY AWESOME next-level prize" from PlayStation.

Although the PlayStation 5 is currently slated for a Holiday 2020 release window, some people are speculating that this will be the "next-level prize" that's being hinted at.
