Street Fighter as a franchise is no stranger to the realm of spin-offs in other media and genres especially since the boom of the mobile gaming market over the past decade.

Tencent's annual games conference took place earlier today where the company showed off dozens of titles including Street Fighter: Duel with a digitized CG Yoshinori Ono showing up to present more about it.

Billed as a 3v3 real-time action fighting game, Street Fighter: Duel brings in the cast of SF4 to assemble playable teams and gear while battling other world warriors, random goons and monsters in both co-operative and competitive settings.

The CG version of Ono appears to introduce aspects of the game and how it's been translated from the standard fighting game genre into Duel's system like the multiplayer boss battles.

No new release information was given during the conference aside from the news that an open test period would begin in China in the near future. There's still no word on whether Street Fighter: Duel is planned to release outside of Chinese territories.
