We are now three weeks into the season for the Capcom Pro Tour Online 2020 for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, and the only thing just as impressive as the talent and hard work from the world warriors is the character diversity being shown off.

Southeast Asia has their first shot at a Capcom Cup qualification spot this weekend where over half of SF5's cast has appeared in the top 32 — and not a single one of them was Rashid.

Countries like Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines are sent in their best ranks to set up a top 8 with all completely different main characters.

In fact, there were 23 out of SF5's 40-character roster supported as main entries in top 32 including AronManurung cracking top 8 with the rare Nash though there were some other oft-unseen fighters on display like Ed and E. Honda.

The most popular was not the usual Akuma, Urien or Rashid but instead Laura with three players cracking the upper bracket with her although M. Bison was not far behind there.

We do need to point out that this tournament featured around 75 players in total these are still the SEA faithful showing up to support their game and aim for the goal of reaching Capcom Cup.

Top 8 action is scheduled to take place later tonight for those of us in the western hemisphere, and you can check out the character usage breakdown below.
