Fans of Min Min have Mr. Yabuki to thank for the ARMS rep's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate according to Masahiro Sakurai

We're just two days away from Min Min's release in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate via the Fighters Pass Vol. 2. Thanks to her extendable arms, Min Min has access to attacks with reach that are well above average.

But why was Min Min chosen out of all the ARMS characters? Those that are unfamiliar with ARMS might believe that Spring Man is the main protagonist and face of the intellectual property. However, it seems that Spring Man isn't necessarily the only protagonist according to what Kosuke Yabuki, producer of ARMS, told Masahiro Sakurai.

"Many of you might be thinking that Spring Man is the protagonist, but that doesn't seem to be the case," stated Sakurai. "Mr. Yabuki said, 'Everyone's the protagonist.'"

Among the ARMS fans, it can be argued that Min Min is one of the most popular. Min Min even appears to be a personal favorite of Mr. Yabuki himself.

"Now, you might ask, 'Why Min Min out of all the fighters from ARMS?'" continued Sakurai. "To be honest, it's because Mr. Yabuki, the producer of ARMS, said, 'I want Min Min.'"

If not for Mr. Yabuki's comment, there's a chance that we might've got another rep like Ninjara instead. Of course, Min Min was apparently still on Sakurai's radar even before consulting Mr. Yabuki.

"I was actually thinking Min Min too, but also Ninjara," said Sakurai. Notably, Ninjara and Spring Man were the only other characters aside from Min Min herself who were shown touching the Smash invitation during Min Min's official reveal trailer.

After everyone else was already beaten, Min Min simply had to defeat Twintelle and Kid Cobra in order to finalize her spot in the roster for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
