The Street Fighter series has seen great representation in mobile gaming lately with a prominent role in the popular card game Teppen and beyond though there's something else in the works focused solely on the world warriors.

Tencent, the company that owns Riot Games and has major stakes in tons of other developers / publishers, is finally ready to show off Street Fighter: Duel beginning with a new teaser trailer ahead of its upcoming games conference.

Street Fighter: Duel's teaser is made up of a CGI cutscene featuring Ryu, Chun-Li, Blanka and Ken about to take on M. Bison and Juri with all of the characters apparently using their SF4 designs.

Gameplay was not shown here, but a previous trailer revealed Duel will feature 3v3 battles with card and gear-based tactics to overpower opponents.

A fuller reveal is apparently set to come during the Tencent Game Conference which is scheduled to take place on June 27 and feature more than 40 games in total according to industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, who also posted the teaser.

Currently, Duel is planned for release in China though plans for a worldwide launch have not been confirmed at this time. Even with that, however, more than 2.2 million people have reportedly pre-registered to play the mobile spin-off says Ahmad.

Duel was first revealed in late 2019 with a 2020 release date though it caught some attention when people quickly discovered the Tencent-developed title used what appeared to be graphical design elements ripped from / inspired by Persona 5.

The new teaser doesn't contain any of those elements, so it remains to be seen if that copied homework has been altered since Duel's initial showing.

You can check out the new teaser along with some screenshots.
