Ridley can indefinitely drag Assist Trophies with his Space Pirate Rush side special under the right conditions in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In what appears to be a reference to the Ridley boss fight in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary, Ridley's side special — the Space Pirate Rush — has him drag opponents along the the ground with a command grab.

Although player controlled characters will eventually escape from Ridley's side special, the same does not hold true for Assist Trophies. PKBeats recently uploaded a video that demonstrated how Ridley can drag Assist Trophies indefinitely.

The Super Mario Bros. stage is one of the few stages in the game where wrapping occurs. Simply put, a character can appear near the right boundary after approaching from the left boundary and vice versa.

By grabbing an Assist Trophy with the Space Pirate Rush, Ridley will drag them towards one side of the stage then appear at the other end. As mentioned before, Assist Trophies won't attempt to mash out of Ridley's command grab.

If stage hazards are turned off, then you won't have to worry about the enemies that spawn at the very top of the stage. After this, all you have to do is snag an Assist Trophy on the bottom floor.

Eventually, the Assist Trophy will despawn once its timed life expires. Still, it's pretty funny to see this sequence take place.
