Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many fighting game tournaments are either being rescheduled or outright cancelled in 2020. We previously heard word that CEO 2020 was being rescheduled for December assuming the situation with the novel coronavirus has stabilized by that point.

Just yesterday, CEOnline — or CEO Online — was announced for June 27-28. Please note that this won't be outright replacing CEO 2020 which is still planned for December later this year.

During CEOnline 2020, players will be able to compete at Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, Ultra Street Fighter 4, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The PlayStation 4 versions for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath and Ultra Street Fighter 4 will be used while Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be on the PC.

Interestingly enough, there are no brackets for games like Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, or Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Although this tournament will feature free entry admission, do note that only a limited number of players may compete. Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath are both capped at 128 while Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

$150 will be awarded for first place, $75 for second place, and $25 will go to third place. Alex Jebailey will also issue a personalized Tweet that thanks for four place winner for entering.
