Arc System Works has really grown up over the past decade to become one of the premier fighting game developers in the world right alongside Capcom and Bandai Namco by concurrently running titles like Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball FighterZ and BlazBlue while simultaneously picking up new series.

To compensate for all of their more recent growth, ArcSys announced they have restructured their company and developers including a new position for the creator of the BlazBlue series and other key fighting game employees.

Toshimichi Mori, one of the creators and producers of BlazBlue, is no longer the director of the product development department and will instead work as Branding Fellow to grow the value of the company as they push more outside of Japan.

Hideyuki Anbe, Guilty Gear programmer and Hard Corps: Uprising director, succeeds Mori as Product Development Manager as well as a new title in Chief Technical Officer.

Three out of the four main development divisions at ArcSys are also headed by new people including both of their fighting game-specific departments.

CEO Minoru Kidooka
Director Daisuke Ishiwatari Chief Creative Officer (CCO)
Director Toshimichi Mori Branding Fellow
Director Hideyuki Anbe(New) Product Development Manager and Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Auditor Masashi Ichikawa Outside Company Auditor

Product Development Division 1 creates ArcSys' original fighting games and is now managed by Akira Katano, who you may also recognize as the director of Guilty Gear Strive.

Former BlazBlue director and battle planner Ryohei Endo is taking up the management position for Product Development Division which handles "fighting game titles developed by ArcSys' partners" likely including projects like Dragon Ball FighterZ and probably work with the other studios like French Bread.

Arc System Works also established a new Global Business Department to expand the company's reach and prominence outside of Japan.

Product Development Division 1 Manager: Akira Katano (New) Handles ASW’s IP fighting game titles
Product Development Division 2 Manager: Satoshi Shimada (Current) Handles mainly digital-only titles
Product Development Division 3 Manager: Ryohei Endo (New) Handles fighting game titles developed by our partners
Product Development Division 4 Manager: Tatsunori Ishikawa (New) Handles non-fighting game ASW titles

The company has worked on Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Code Shifter as releases this year as well as publishing Under Night In-Birth: Exe Late[cl-r].

Guilty Gear Strive is the next biggest project we know that they're working on which originally had a 2020 release window before getting delayed to next year.

There will be a new Guilty Gear Strive announcement coming later this week as part of IGN's Summer of Gaming event.
