Season 3 announced for Samurai Shodown

Bandai Namco revealed that they're officially planning a third season for Samurai Shodown during the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable.

Developers did not have much to say beyond the initial announcement but did mention that more information is on the way.

There are currently 10 DLC characters that have joined the cast of Samurai Shodown, four in each of the two previous seasons and then an additional two (Shizumaru and Gongsun Li) free additions.

We actually just recently heard about Gongsun Li as Bandai revealed her to the public back on July 29.

Gongsun Li is a guest character from Honor of Kings, the game's second such DLC fighter following Warden from For Honor, who rounded out the second season of DLC. She is not yet available but will be come August 5.

The current roster sits at a healthy 25 characters, (26 once Gongsun joins) and if things follow in suit with the two years prior we may have 31 by the end of this coming season.
