The day we've all been waiting so long for is finally here, as the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable brought with it a handful of new fighter reveals.

Arc System Works was of course invited where they ended the stream by showing off the new characters Leo Whitefang and Nagoriyuki coming to Guilty Gear Strive along with a new PlayStation 5 version of the upcoming fighter.

Leo is the first to make his appearance in the trailer sporting a slightly older look with shorter and more tamed hair style, but that doesn't mean his fighting style is.

He still wields his twin cross blades of course which have a bronze-like effect on the slashes. Plus, he also still appears to turn his back on his enemy a couple of times in the showcase along with some heavy-looking parries... and also a power bomb.

The king of course still has his humor about him too as we see him writing in between rounds and also falling over when Leo's subordinate moves a chair from behind him.

Nagoriyuki is the swordsman we initially saw in the original Guilty Gear Strive trailer with the cybernetic mask, and now we finally get to see what exactly he'll play like as the game's first brand-new character.

Immediately, the size of the newcomer's blade stands out among the cast seeing as though it appears to reach a long ways across the screen in a single slash though there's a lot more that stands out about the fighter.

Nagoriyuki appears to have a special powered up status / state he can acquire by absorbing what looks to be his opponent's blood through a command grab, or it can also fly out on hits.

A crimson effect is added to his slashes before we see it turn fully red when his helmet also blows off, so perhaps it is tied to the legendary Japanese blade Muramasa considering many series depict it with a red blade or guard.

It'll be interesting to see what all options he can do out of them, but Nagoriyuki is also seen at multiple points in the trailer performing a very cool looking command dash which causes his body to appear as small streaks. He can be seen doing it at different distances and also in both directions.

These announcements bring the cast of Guilty Gear Strive up to 12 characters in total following Ramlethal's reveal back in June along with other returning characters in Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, Axl Low, Chipp Zanuff, Potemkin, Faust, Millia Rage and Zato-1.

The end of the trailer reveals the next character announcement will come in October while Strive itself is still on course for an early 2021 release date after its initial delay out of 2020.

ArcSys had one more surprise for the end too by showing off Strive will also be making its way to the PS5 similarly to how they handled Xrd's release near the start of the current generation of consoles though no more information has been revealed about it at this time.
