If Rolento joins Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition's 'Season V' roster, then what cues could he take from his Omega Street Fighter 4 version?

Capcom has confirmed that new character reveals and news for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition will be revealed on August 5, 2020. Many Street Fighter fans are expecting Rolento, among others, to be revealed as part of 'Season V' due to a potential hint surrounding the special 22-pack of tarot cards featuring Street Fighter characters that was released in 2018.

How would Rolento play in Street Fighter 5 if he actually did join the roster as a DLC challenger? Let's take a closer look at DrewTony'Z's Street Fighter 4 Omega Rolento video so that we may consider a few possibilities.

Rolento's Snare Mine special is actually fairly similar to G's "G Burst." Both Rolento's Snare Mine and G's G Burst will cause its user to throw a projectile at an arc towards the ground.

Once the projectile collides with the ground, it will cause an explosion. Since it doesn't travel as far as a traditional fireball, it can't be used for long-ranged zoning.

Unlike G, Rolento will actually roll backwards as he uses his projectile attack. Just think of this as a single rep of Rolento's Mine Sweeper super.

The Snare Mine projectile arc and distance are determined by the strength of the button used to initiate the special. This seems like a good way for Rolento to reorient himself in the neutral against an overaggressive opponent.

Rolento's Indomitable Revenger functions as a counter that will trigger when Rolento is attacked. The EX version of Indomitable Revenger is actually an invincible Dragon Punch type move that doesn't require interaction from the opponent for the attack to come out.

Normally, Rolento's Patriot Circle works similarly to Fei Long's Rekkaken special. Rather than having additional followups after the first attack, Rolento will perform a set number of Patriot Circle attacks based on the strength of the button press.

It's worth mentioning that the EX version of Patriot Circle is a particularly exaggerated attack in terms of its animation, but it deals a ton of damage if it should hit.

Rolento's Omega version gives him access to unique angles for his Stinger followups.
