Tokido reveals his Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition tier list, continuing the push that Seth is one of the best characters in the game
Without the usual major tournament circuits going on this year, it's been more difficult for everyone to get a grasp on how their fighting games are continuing to develop at a high level, but that doesn't mean the meta has stopped moving forward — especially for the professionals who need to stay on top of changes.
Rohto|Tokido appeared on the most recent Topanga stream to break down and discuss his Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition tier list alongside BST|Fuudo and HIVE|Moke to pick his brain on the rankings.
The longtime pro player has only five characters who he considers to be S tier in Season 5 right now with his own main Akuma at the very top of the list though the other two are quick to point out that Urien is only at the top of A tier.
Tokido laughs as he says the Aegis Reflector machine he's been putting time into this year is still very strong right now, but Abigail is even stronger in his eyes. This is a good bit of a change from earlier in the year where he felt Urien might be top two.
Seth appears as the number three character in SF5 according to the list which follows the trend of some others in Japan and around the world seeing a lot of strength in the game's 40th fighter — Kawano recently put them as number one on his tiers.
Fear of Ibuki seems to be at an all-time low in the eyes of Tokido considering he placed her at almost the bottom of B tier only ahead of Ed and Falke though players like RZR|Xian are still finding plenty of dirt with her V-Skill 2.
