Prominent member of the Super Smash Bros. community Jason "ANTi" Bates has been dropped from his sponsor, T1, following accusations that he had sex with a girl under the age of 18.

Both T1 and ANTi have posted statements to Twitter addressing the matter.

T1 posted the following to their Twitter Thursday afternoon, "Earlier today we became aware of serious allegations of misconduct involving Jason "ANTi" Bates. Following a thorough discussion of the matter with the player, we decided to terminate our relationship with him, effective immediately."

Bates has responded to the allegations with a statement of his own.

"Well all in all, since I'm being labeled a 'pedophile' even though I clearly know I'm f****** not. I will be taking a step back from this community," said Bates in a statement released earlier today. You can view the rest of the statement via his Twitter.
