After the spectacular top 8 of Soul Calibur 6 on EVO Japan 2020's main stage, we were treated to some new information from the game's producer Motohiro Okubo.

While he said that they're still working hard on developing guest character Haohmaru from Samurai Shodown and that they're going to need some more time before he's ready to release, he didn't leave us with nothing. Before leaving the stage, a trailer started showing the iconic samurai going up against Soul Calibur's very own poster boy ronin, Mitsurugi.

The trailer shows that Haohmaru retains his classic special moves such as Kogetsuzan and Senpuu Retsu Zan, although they've of course been adapted to the 3D setting of Soul Calibur 6.

Not only this, but Haohmaru also has the classic Samurai Shodown deflect motion, though it unsurprisingly does not seem to actually disarm the opponent. You can catch the full trailer below.
