At Frosty Faustings XII this past weekend, Arc System Works unveiled their latest character for the upcoming fighting title, Guilty Gear Strive. The odd and creepy combatant, Faust, returns to battle and is even spookier than before.

As another legacy character in the Guilty Gear series, Faust has a point of reference we can look at to see how much he's changed since the last installment in the franchise. HiFight has taken the opportunity to compare the new version of Faust, as well as the rest of Strive's currently revealed characters, with their Guilty Gear Xrd counterparts to see what has carried over to the new game.

The new trailer showcases several special moves that can be found back in Xrd. Both the fishing rod and baseball bat are back, and Faust can be seen putting together combos in Strive that can be recreated in its predecessor.

Despite numerous similarities, Faust's intro and victory animations differ from his past version.

In Strive, Faust takes on a more zombie-like movement and eerily reaches at the camera to start the battle. When he wins, Faust lunges at the camera, grabbing a hold of it and staring deep into it as his eye lights up, which is quite a change from the calm pose he goes for in Xrd. .

HiFight moves on from Faust to share similar comparisons for Ky, Sol Badguy, May, Chipp, Potemkin, and Axl. You can see it all in the video below.
