Just how ridiculous are Snake's hitboxes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Well...

Rekzius provides the breakdown

Although Snake's attacks are not nearly as ridiculous as they were in Brawl, Snake is known for having some rather interesting hitboxes attached to his attacks. It's no wonder why Metal Gear's legendary soldier is often regarded as a top tier in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (among other reasons).

Rekzius recently released another video for his hitbox explanation series. Unsurprisingly, there were many that were curious about Snake's moveset.

Although many might think that up tilt's properties might still be quirky from its status in Brawl, Rekzius points out that the attached hitboxes are actually fairly average. Still, this is an attack that kills extremely early for something that comes out on frame six.

Most of the awkward situations that arise from this move probably have more to do with hurtbox shifting than issues with this command. As a result, you really don't want ot underestimate this attack — especially once the hitbox expands above Snake during its final active frames.

On the other hand, attacks like Snake's second forward tilt, down tilt, back aerial, and up aerial are... fairly ridiculous looking. Needless to say, these attacks extend beyond Snake's body.

Then there's Snake's dash attack. As it's already one of the best dash attacks in the game due to its frame data and lingering active frames, it surprisingly has invincibility on the arms. It's actually kind of funny how a zoning character actually has access to one of the game's best burst options.
