We're nearing the end of the second season for Dragon Ball FighterZ and are likely soon to enter a period of change and alteration should developers bring a third season into fruition.

That makes right now a pretty good time for reflection on how Season 2 played out as well as a good time for prediction and wish list making with regards to what we want in Season 3. Rath FGC has lent his very thoughtful and informed voice to doing exactly those things, and has produced a video that just about every fan of DBFZ could benefit from watching.

Especially after a major update, early opinions regarding certain characters tend to gain a significant amount of traction and can quickly (and often erroneously) become law as far as the general community is concerned.

This can and does happen in most any fighting game, but Rath highlights a few examples of this as they played out over the last year in DBFZ, warning us to be careful to avoid making similar mistakes should the game go through another major update. The content creator and competitor makes it a point to suggest we not be too quick to be overly critical of stronger characters.

Though GT Goku has been getting a ton of frustrated attention for being too strong in Season 2, a look back at how demoralizing it was to try to fight Gotenks in Season 1 can help us at least appreciate some forward progress. This doesn't mean GT Goku couldn't do with some nerfs but it does remind us that it's good to keep things in perspective.

Rath includes a pretty hilarious sequence as he dramatically recalls all the woes of facing off with Gotenks in 2018. You can view this particularly comical clip first if you'd like to start things off with a laugh... and maybe a fever dream:
