Capcom has updated their Shadaloo C.R.I. website to incorporate the latest Street Fighter 5 online stats. With the official launch of Season 5, new DLC character Gill, and a brand new V-Skill for everyone on the roster, the combat stats and character usage chart should be quite interesting.

Today's stats take a look at the entire month of December and take into account Ranked, Casual, and Battle Lounge matches. With Gill being the latest addition to the cast, it's no surprise that he ended up being a popular choice last month, but what's interesting is that he placed as one of the most highly-used characters in the short time he had been out.

The big Street Fighter 3 Third Strike boss character placed fourth on the character usage list, charting only behind consistently popular Shotos Ryu, Akuma, and Ken. Kage follows in fifth place for December, with Guile, M. Bison, Zangief, Karin, and Cammy making up the remainder of the top 10 most-used fighters.

A lot of what we've been seeing on the fighting game end of social media has involved Gill, with several top players and prominent figures either playing the character or trying to find the best tech that they can. Gill also strikes the nostalgia chord for a lot of folks, and this is the first time he's been playable as a non-boss-type character, so his placement on the popularity list makes a lot of sense.

Moving over to the combat stats for December, we notice that something of a miracle has happened. M. Bison and Urien are no longer battling for the "most wins" title. Instead, Season 4 DLC character E. Honda seems to have conquered the throne with the best win average for December 2019.

Every month for as long as I can remember, we have seen either Bison or Urien at the top of this chart as players of each character went back and forth to earn the top spot. In fact, November's stats featured Urien at #1 and Bison at #2, with E. Honda down at #4.

The race for best win average was a close one, however, with Honda coming in with a 5.566 score and Bison being only two points behind with a 5.564.
