With the start of the new year we draw closer to a potential Season 3 for Dragon Ball FighterZ — especially if rumors and data mining are to be believed. For those just picking up the game or who feel like they may have hit a wall in their progress, you might be looking for a strong resource to help you improve your game in short order.

Thankfully, That Blasted Salami assembled a handful of helpful tips that players can easily practice. Taking these steps should give those searching for improvements what they're looking for.

What makes these tips and tricks even easier to put into play is the fact that they have been constructed with the goal in mind that all you have to do is make a mental note about them while playing. Doing so should make the transition a smooth one.

The first tip is an easy one that should save you quite a bit of heartache. On defense, some players tend to try and hit light punches in order to catch an opening in the opponent's offensive pressure and turn the tide of battle.

As That Blasted Salami points out, though, mashing light will cause the auto combo to come out, and if it whiffs you'll be in a world of hurt. Instead, players should aim to hit light then medium as most normals don't cancel into each other on whiff, which means that if the light doesn't make contact, you'll return to blocking right after.

Another useful thing to be aware of is that there is actually a gap after a sparking super dash is blocked. A lot of times, players will eat the follow up pressure, but there actually exists enough time to hit a raw level 3 super, an invincible reversal, or even push block them away.

There's quite a bit more to learn here, so be sure to check out the video below for even more useful Dragon Ball FighterZ tips.
