Arc System Works has certainly built up a massive roster of characters in their 30 years of publishing and developing games, and now we get to see many of them together on the same screen.

Code Shifter is a new game in development over at ArcSys, and though it appears to be an action platformer and not a fighting game, the soon to release title does feature 100 characters from series like Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and River City.

In it, players will take control of game developers called Awesome Rainbow Corp. who are working up to the deadline of their next title until they run into disastrous bugs.

An original avatar named Sera infiltrates the world to try and set things straight with the ability to take on sprite appearances and abilities of characters like Sol Badguy, Elphelt, Ragna, Faust, Jubei and Hazama among many others to defeat stages.

There are 30 playable characters in total plus 70 assists to call in as the trailer shows off I-No's as an example.

The main game can seemingly be played with up to two players while an additional mode will support up to four to unlock more fighters.

Code Shifter is currently scheduled to release on January 30, 2020 in Japan on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. A western release date has not been set yet, but it will apparently be coming in the near future overseas.
