Update: Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 now available to download

That's assuming they roll the update out across all users at once of course

Update: Season 3 of Dragon Ball FighterZ (version 1.21) can now be downloaded. Do keep in mind that Kefla, the first DLC challenger of Season 3, won't be available until tomorrow.

Earlier: Kefla is coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ on February 26 for owners of the FighterZ Pass 3 though apparently we might be playing on Season 3 content almost three days before that.

The Dragon Ball FighterZ Japanese website recently updated with a new informational post telling players the date and time of the upcoming patch's server maintenance. We already knew to expect it on Feb. 25, but with the timezone differential, western players won't need to wait that long.

As pointed out by ParaLenaa on Twitter, the 10 a.m. Japanese start time for the Season 3 update equates to 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET tomorrow, Feb. 24, for those of us in North America. That may not be guaranteed, however, if Bandai Namco decides to roll the update out across regions at different times for some reason.

Online downtime is scheduled to last for approximately two hours during which lobbies and ranked play will be unavailable, but players who download the update file should be able to access the big balance changes early.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 is seemingly going to shake up the game quite a bit considering the game will be adding two more Z Assist options for every character on top of the new Limit Break mechanic and other system changes.

Bandai Namco held a special live stream earlier in the week to show off Kefla and the Season 3 changes, and we've also broken down the biggest takeaways from said stream.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Players looking to purchase Kefla without the season pass will need to wait two extra days until Feb. 28 to do so.

The full Season 3 patch notes are also in the wild; you can find them translated here.
