However great your passion for fighting games, there's a good chance you're not quite as devoted as Cody Shaw of Vancouver, British Columbia, who is already well past the trailhead on his new mountainous endeavor.

Shaw has pledged to create one massive character select screen that will feature every last character (DLC included as it comes) that could potentially pop up on the EVO 2020 main stage. We did some calculations, and the number starts at a whopping 130 with just Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

"This is it. I'm doing it," he starts in his Twitter post. "My goal is to draw every single character playable on the main stage of #Evo2020, and mash 'em all into one giant character select by the time the tourney happens. Smash Ultimate and MvC2 are going to kill me lmao."

This year will see no less than nine titles represented at EVO, including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Samurai Shodown, GranBlue Fantasy Versus, Soul Calibur 6, UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe: Late[cl-r], and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Technically the total across all rosters approaches 350 when you include DLC, but luckily for Shaw repeat appearances will not garner additional thumbnails. He's only going to be drawing Ryu one time despite the fact that the iconic fighter is in three of the nine titles. In the case of characters with dual personalities, like Zeku, the artist leaves it open to his own case by case preferences.

There are currently 93 thumbnails done as of the writing of this post, so only a few hundred to go. Shaw still has a solid five and a half month window before the July 31-Aug 2 Las Vegas tournament, and so our hopes are high that we'll be able to eventually run a follow up post showing off the finished product..
