We're just two days before the fourth birthday of Street Fighter 5 and celebrating a bit early as the game puts on its third fresh coat of paint for the official release of Champion Edition.

Champion Edition is essentially an amalgamation of most of the downloadable content Capcom has developed for SF5 over the years (save for Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes, and Capcom Pro Tour DLC). On top of the 39 characters, 34 stages, and over 200 costumes CE also grants access to Seth, the newest roster member.

Those who already own Street Fighter 5 can upgrade to Champion Edition for $24.99 USD, but the price goes up a few bucks to $29.99 if you're getting into the action for the very first time. As the game is available on PlayStation 4 as well as PC, you can nab it either in the PlayStation Store or on Steam.

While the general Street Fighter community is generally excited for today's release, Seth is far and away the biggest head-turner at the moment. We've been covering the newcomer quite extensively in recent times, and have plenty of information to share.

Check out a few of Seth's strongest gameplay tools, learn about the character's SF5 backstory, or check out some concept art that reveals a few other directions Capcom was considering going with the character.

We've been exploring the ins and outs of Champion Edition and offer a detailed summary of the good and the bad (it's mostly good) in our full CE review.

Capcom recently released a few visual guides to help depict just how much content, as well as offer some specifics in terms of which characters get which costumes and such, we're getting with CE:

Not only did SF5 receive a major balance patch, that also added second V-Skills for all characters, back in December, but also saw a few tweaks via yet another patch that dropped yesterday. All this to say that Street Fighter 5 has undergone a ton of change both over the years and in recent times, and you'll be getting the refined end result.

The Street Fighter YouTube channel released the official launch trailer below, which nicely recaps the above material as well as some of the single and multiplayer modes SF5 has to offer:
