Guilty Gear Strive's newest vampire takes a quick snack break to prove that he's not just a stoic samurai
Nagoriyuki's character remained a mystery for a full year after his initial tease in the Guilty Gear Strive reveal, and while his full trailer appeared to show him as this cool, stoic vampire samurai, there's obviously more than meets the eye.
As with the other characters on the roster, Arc System Works is showcasing some of Nagoriyuki's personality with animation clips from Strive including that he apparently likes to snack in between trading blows — and not just on blood either.
The latest animation the developers have shared is for the brand new fighter's taunt which has the vampire busting out a quick treat in the midst of battle.
We can't tell what it is (maybe some onigiri), but Nagoriyuki pulls a case out of his clothes and pops a quick bite into his mouth which creates a bit of a comical effect with the mouth on his mask bobbing as he chews.
It's just a brief moment of reprieve, however, because he's already pulling out his sword and getting back into his fighting stance as soon as the food leaves his mouth.

Nagoriyuki's love of bushido though certainly seems to shine more than the culinary arts since even his normal idle pose has him strike a cool stance and run his hand along the blade.
There's very little we know right now about Nagoriyuki's actual story and ties to the Guilty Gear world, but the short bits of what we've seen so far seems to show a deadly serious warrior who can perhaps on occassion lighten up a little.
