Dan performs the classic FATHER scream in new voice clip released for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition

Dan Hibiki's launch alongside Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition's fifth and final season is now less than two months away, and Capcom is certainly doing things differently for him to keep anticipation growing until the big release.

The master of Saikyo style recently posted his latest sound bite performing perhaps Dan's most iconic line in the series where he calls out to his late father.

This callback of course goes all of the way to Dan's origins in the Street Fighter Alpha series where his initial motivation is to get revenge on Sagat for the death of his pops, Go Hibiki.

Now that he's left those dark emotions in the past, however, Dan just wants his father to be proud of him as a great martial artist though he still struggles to keep up with the other world warriors.

Voice clip number one hit the internet earlier this week where Dan bragged about how cool the Saikyo style is, and it also served as our first real introduction to his English voice for SF5.

It doesn't appear to be confirmed yet, but Ted Sroka seems to be reprising his role from Street Fighter 4.

Sroka actually played a different fighting game character just a few years ago too, as he took up the mantle of Mega Man X in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

This latest version of Dan is perhaps shaping up to be his most "powerful" incarnation since the SVC Chaos days with taunt cancelling becoming a key element of his fighting style though we have yet to see how that will play out in an actual match.

Since Capcom Cup won't be coming to an end until February 21, 2021, there's a good chance we'll be seeing a lot more of these and similar clips arise to keep the teaser train rolling.
