2 + 2 = SSJ4

Last night's trailer for Super Baby 2's gameplay came as expected following the finals for the Dragon Ball FighterZ National Championships in Japan, but there was an extra exciting announcement at the end revealing Super Saiyan 4 Goku will be the final character of FighterZ Pass 3.

The short clip of the Dragon Ball GT fusion stated that'd he'd be "coming soon," but there's plenty of information already that points to when we should expect to see Gogeta's trailer along with his release window.

Another announcement came immediately after the new characters were shown off which is for a new online event Bandai Namco is calling the Dragon Ball Battle Hour.

There's not much revealed about what the show will entail, but the Dragon Ball Battle Hour will revolve around some sort of content for DBFZ along with Dragon Ball Legends and the Dragon Ball Super card game.

In all likelihood, this event is where we'll get to see Gogeta's gameplay trailer and release date.

Dragon Ball FighterZ producer Tomoko Hiroki has already confirmed she'll be in attendance for the Battle Hour, and her showing up on a stream is almost always indicative of a new announcement coming for the fighting game.

What's more is the event will take place on March 6, 2021 which puts it almost two months after Super Baby's release on January 15. This timeline matches up well with what the publisher previously did for Kefla to Ultra Instinct Goku and Master Roshi to Super Baby this year.

If this does indeed turn out to be the case for Gogeta's trailer, we can get a good idea of how soon after he'll release from that point too looking back at the other Season 3 additions.

UI Goku, Roshi and Super Baby will have all had between 2–4 weeks between when their gameplay trailer first dropped to when they actually released in DBFZ.

Applying that same frame for Gogeta's potential trailer gives us a window between March 20 and April 10.

We can also take that a step further since the last three characters all officially released on a Friday which leaves March 26, April 2 and April 9 as the most probable candidates.

Of course none of this is officially confirmed and could change at any time, so we may end up with a completely different series of events.

If I were a betting man, however, I'd be pretty confident in those dates listed above.
