During the night or early this morning depending on where in the world you happen to be situated, the last installment of the Dragon Ball FighterZ National Championships was being played, more specifically the Japanese portion of the event.

As we'd been promised by Dragon Ball FighterZ producer Tomoko Hiroki, this event also treated us to our first gameplay look at the next upcoming character, Super Baby 2, although we found out about him and some of his abilities earlier this week.

In the trailer, we saw a much bigger view of Super Baby 2's moveset than we usually do from Dragon Ball FighterZ trailers and his release date was confirmed to be January 15th.

That's not all, though. At the end of the trailer, we got to see who our final FighterZ Pass 3 character is, and it's yet another Dragon Ball GT combatant in Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta — the ultimate fusion between Goku and Vegeta.

The video shows in action a variety of diverse projectile attacks at Baby's disposal as well as the much-discussed feature of him "stealing" assists after he's defeated characters from the opponent's team, likely giving him even further combo extension capabilities than we're used to having.

We also get some visual display of the other much-discussed aspect since Super Baby 2's magazine reveal, namely his Golden Oozaru/Great Ape form and its rampage against a helpless GT Goku. Check out all the action for yourself below in the trailer.
