Faust has another 'reaction face' move in Guilty Gear Strive, but it doesn't involve fingers or butts this time

RIP Stimulating Fists of Annihilation

Even if you haven't played a Guilty Gear game once in your life, this is entertaining enough to stick around for. The especially creative minds behind the fighting game franchise have always gone the extra mile to make their titles stand out with wonderfully unique artistic choices, but sometimes they can be more intriguing for their peculiarity than anything else.

Faust is almost unarguably the most peculiar of all Guilty Gear characters, and Arc System Works has revealed one of his new super attacks for the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive that, at least in part, echoes his infamous Stimulating Fists of Annihilation technique... an attack in which he'd forcibly stick a few fingers into his opponent's butt.

Stimulating Fists of Annihilation included a quick cut scene animation in which the victim would utter one of three random reaction phrases as well as make a particular face to indicate their discomfort (and sometimes pleasure) at having Faust's fingers in their rear end.

Stimulating Fists of Annihilation doesn't seem to be making a return appearance in Strive, but Faust does have a new move called Bone-crushing Excitement that causes a similar animation process and reaction faces for Strive's roster.

Like Faust's general design this time around, Bone-crushing Excitement is considerably darker and more morbid than his former face-bending special. The attack begins when a small clover emerges on the ground, exciting Faust and causing him to pounce forward to examine it. He'll knock his opponent down if they're in the way, thus beginning the cut scene sequence.

The opponent gets knocked to the ground a good distance away from Faust, and when he realizes his foe is downed, he quickly grabs a wheelchair and rushes over to help them out. Unfortunately for his foe, Faust winds up running over and breaking their leg. We've got a glimpse of it as performed against Millia Rage which you can view by clicking the thumbnail below.
