Ultra Instinct Goku released all the way back in May for Dragon Ball FighterZ as the latest addition to the fighting game's DLC roster, and now we finally know who will be following him up soon in Season 3.

Bandai Namco announced today during their Dragon Ball FighterZ Show that the long awaited Master Roshi will be joining the cast.

Master Roshi first appeared in of course in the original Dragon Ball series as young Goku and Krillin's martial arts master.

The Turtle Hermit appears as a frail old man most of the time but can beef up his muscles for a short period of time when fighting is required. In this initial trailer, however, he appears to remain in his slim body for regular battle.

One of the first moves we see Roshi perform is the Mafuba / Evil Containment Wave which looks similar to a beam that traps the victim and seals them within a jar. It probably won't actually work like that in battle, but it'd be perhaps the most unique move in the game if it did, even for a limited time.

As the originator of the Kamehameha, Master Roshi understands the powerful attack probably better than anyone with different and unique variants to him. Unfortunately, this trailer doesn't actually show off any of these techniques either.

Though he can certainly get serious at times, Roshi is often times seen goofing and joking around which comes across as his primary attitude in FighterZ outside of maybe Supers.

Master Roshi also topped both our most wanted and expected character for today's DBFZ reveal, so it appears Bandai Namco and Arc System Works made a wise decision to finally include him in FighterZ's roster.

Though a release date wasn't revealed in the trailer, Bandai Namco did give the old master a launch window of September where the Dragon Ball FighterZ Show will return with a full showcase and breakdown for Master Roshi's moveset. You can take a look at the trailer below with English subtitles.
