Since the advent of Legos, people have created real works of art in ways that their original creators never intended though its not too often that the brick building world crosses over into the realm of fighting games.

Lego custom creators Pixeljunkie recently did just that, however, by building and showing off mini arcade cabinets for Street Fighter 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom that even let the characters move and perform some of their iconic attacks.

The Street Fighter 2 cab features two sticks, two buttons, coin slots and even a Lego portrait of Ryu on the back, but it gets even cooler than that.

Pixeljunkie went as far as creating their own title heads and stage backgrounds, so the custom Ryu and Ken fighters could duke it out properly at Suzaku Castle.

The sticks can be moved back and forth to slide the characters along a track for some 2D movement while the button makes them jump and spin around when held down to recreate the iconic Shoryuken and Tatsumaki in smaller, Lego fashion.

After completing work on the SF2 cab, Pixeljunkie's new project is to do the same for the first Marvel vs. Capcom as they've shown off a few work in progress images featuring Spider-Man and Iron Man which could end up even cooler than their previous set.

While Pixeljunkie doesn't appear to be selling these creations online yet, they do sell custom instructions which you can check out along with more of their builds on Instagram.
